Whats a good online fps tacticle game

What about the 'Battlefield' series?, although TBH they all kind of get that way I find.

i got battlefield 2 was good for a while, all ppl do in that game is prone and shoot, and kill other to get in the planes, dont really like that.

i got counter strike source as it comes with three games and it can be a run and gun game but also tacticle wen u play with friends so not to bad. Only thing that sucks is u cant prone or iron sight. But then again left for dead does not allow it either

If you want a true tactical FPS there are actually a few games to look at, but most need to be modded.

I would suggest looking at Arma2 (buggy and million and one controls make it an aquired taste though)
CoD4 & CoD:WaW are very run and gun out of the box, but there is a large community using the OpenWarfare mod and this changes things completely and there are some great clans running very tactical servers (take a look at www.thepara.co.uk they are a European clan but there are American ones too such as 82nd Airborne

Operation Flashpoint 2 Dragon Rising looks as though it will be very very good and def tactical, that will be out around the 10th of October

Day of defeat:Source could be tactical but does suffer badly on some servers from R&G and like all source games is plagued by scumbag cheats

personally I recommend the CoD games running Openwarfare mod, I personally play this and if you go to the right servers it is a very rewarding game, the para link I gave you even have R&G disabled, if you don't use your sights you miss end of story, really improves the experience.
