When setting the screen saver options, should turning off the hard drive be
set before, during or after the other two options?

Then useful settings might be:

t o HD @ 2 hr
standby @ 3 hr

Hi,

The settings will vary from user to user as well as the type of usage. if
you are going to be away from the computer at frequent intervals then you
will have to set the values to a small value so they are fired immediatedly
when u are away. if you are going to work for long hours without any
interruptions then you will want to set the values to a high value to avoid
getting distracted at intervals.

in power settings, i have an 'away' profile
i use it at night before going to bed
it will turn off monitor after 1 min, then hd after 15
then in the morning will change to 'always on' or 'presentation'
everyone is different, but just giving an idea of what you can do
