Run diablo II on mac os x 10

You shouldn't have to do anything since the original diabolo 2 worked on mac out of the box. I'm not sure if osx has a 'compatibility mode' as vista and 7 do, however if osx cannot run it and you have a mac with an intel chipset, ie, dual core or better, then you can use bootcamp to install xp/vista/7 and run it through that. I use my macbook pro to play coall of duty waw and it works fine.

Hey guys I just wanted to let you know that despite the fact that I am able to get the patches and OSX native installers (which worked successfully) the game is still unable to run because it turns out my specific model of macbook has a graphics card that doesn't support the game (GMA X3100 - used in the early 2008 Macbook models) because it doesn't support 250color. I heard that blizzard is currently working on a patch for this, but until then I guess I will have to find another game... thanks for the help!

If you have the same macbook as me, which you probably do, it's your graphics card, so there's not really anything that can be done right now. If you wanna see what card you have, go to the apple on the bar and select "about this mac." then hit "more info," then in the left hand column go to "graphics/displays." if it says, "GMA X3100" next to "chipset model," then that means you've got the card that can't run diablo because it doesn't support 250color option. As far as I can tell our operating system has nothing to do with it. Blizzard is working on a patch, but until that is complete we just get to sit here and remind ourselves why we decided to get a mac and not a PC.
