Can someone please tell me the exact version and driver I need to update my K7S5A Pro agp drivers? Im playing Star Wars Galaxies and the game locks up on my every 10 mintues. Its the ONLY thing thats not current is that damn AGP driver. Im using a Radoen 9600 Pro with the new Catalyst 3.5 drivers. With WinXP

Awsome. I couldn't find that page on ESC website. Just the general generic one. This tells me exactly which specific drivers to use. Thanks thats what Ive been looking for.

Yes. I used to have a GeForce MX440se 64meg videocard. I unistalled it all before isntalling this new Radeon 960o pro.

Try this:
1) Uninstall the ATI Drivers
2) Run <A HREF="http://www.driverheaven.net/cleaner/download/DCSetup_19.zip" target="_new"> Driver Cleaner</A>. Select ATI and nVidia, select "clean" for each.
3) Uninstall/Reinstall your chipset/agp drivers
4) Download the <A HREF="http://www2.ati.com/drivers/wxp-w2k-catalyst-7-91-030625a-010027c-efg.exe" target="_new"> latest ATI drivers</A> and install them.

If you're still getting lockups after that, you could try reformatting. And if that still doesn't work, it's probably a power or heat related problem.

Thanks Markgun! That seemed to do the trick. I followed the order you explained and used that driver stripper prgram. Sure enough there was alot of old ATI and NVidia drivers in the registery. I isntalled the newest AGP MB driver and Catalyst 3.6
I played StarWars Galaxies last night for 6 hours with not one crash. Unbeleivable lol

My next step is to get rid of this crappy ESC MB and go buy a KT400 chipset MB. Also another 512megs of DDR2700 ram

Glad to hear everything's working! Driver Cleaner is a great little utility. I can swap ATI and nVidia cards in my system without problems using that. Sure beats reformatting.

That K7S5A isn't that bad as long as it works. It's a hit or miss with their quality control. I personally haven't had any problems with the K7S5A mobos I've dealt with. Although an nForce2 board might do more justice than a KT400 for an upgrade.
