When we installed Windows XP on out new computer, my son installed internet
access and Office under his profile, and himself as administrator. Now I
can't get access to these in the other profiles he set up for his sister and
myself. We all need access to the net and to Office! Help!

Hi Sue,

It seems like the only thing you can do right now is ask your son to make
your user an administrator (Start > Control Panel > Users and groups > *Your
User Name* > Change Type > Computer Administrator.) If you already are an
administrator, then you should get an Internet Explorer icon in your start
menu automatically, but you may have to add the office shortcuts manually.

If internet explorer is not visible in the start menu, right click the start
button, click properties, click customize, and select 'Internet Explorer'
from the internet drop-down box.

If office does not appear in your start menu, you can open your son's
account (Start > Run > type 'C:\Documents and Settings\*Your Son's
Username*\Start Menu\Programs' and click ok) and copy the Microsoft Office
Shortcuts, then paste them into your start menu (Start > right click All
Programs > click Paste)

I hope this helps!
