I have an ASUS A7V8X motherboard paired with an AMD Athlon XP 2800+ Barton processor, which i used to build a new system. Everything runs awesome, but there is one thing i ran into. Approximately every 10 to 15 minutes the computer beeps at me with two tones. The first tone is lower in pitch than the second tone. This beeping appears to have no effect on performance. If anyone knows how to disable this beeping, please respond. Thankyou.

I'm sure the beeping is trying to tell you something. Maybe your temps are too high. What BIOS rev are you using? Is Asus Probe installed? We need more info. Just telling us there is beeping isn't enough.

Interesting problem. The first thing that comes to my mind is that the system beep could be playing through the system speaker rather than playing the "Ding" on the soundcard. Does the beep occur when you should hear a system beep, or is it apparently beeping for no reason at all?

The temperatures are not an issue, and i am using bios revision 1012. Asus Probe is not installed. This beeping is not a system beep, and it is apparently beeping for no reason at all. Please reply to my reply. Thankyou.
