I am repairing a United Classic dhuffle alley, and need to know the function of a particular stepper. It is located (looking from the back) on the lower right side of the backbox, and I believe it is the upper stepper. I think the lower one is the frame stepper. They have no labels.
the game is full of steppers of one kind or another.....what doesn't work on it? Once you start a game or power it up, you can manually activate a stepper to see what it does by pushing down on the plate that would normally get pulled down by magnetism by the coil. Many of these old mechanical games are noted for wires breaking off since cheap wires were used. Also you will need a small point file to clean all the points on the leaf switches in the game....it is a big job but if you want it to work correctly you might as well get with it. Also the stike/spare units will need lubricated so they move freely.

That is good information. I have found that the stepper in question is indeed the frame stepper. It is missing the wiper. I have located a wiper for it and will soon install it. I appreciate your response to my inquiry.
