the tv screen is black but you can hear it load up and the game is working no video the tv checks out fine xbox is about 3 yr old thanks!

what video cable are you using? have you ever had it set up in HD?

sound like it could be trying to boot into an unsupported resolution. or it may be a faulty cable.
