i tried to load a couple of my old games on my windows vista and it will not let me. is there a patch or something i can download to fix this?

What Kind of games areyou talking about if their dos games or older games i could help (mabey)

+1 for DOSBox. But you really need to be more specific as to what games you're talking about. I've managed to get quite a few old titles running by using the built-in Compatibility Mode.

Have you tried the FAQ page? If you can run Vista, I doubt that your cpu is to blame. It had been a very long time since I messed with DOS, but I managed to get Wolfenstein 3D running in Vista a while back. Check out:

Bad news thief wont work for you on vista i tried to run thief 2 on vista and its impossible there is no fix to get it running (for at least now)
