Then you have to run them all at CL3! Believe it or not, SOME CL2 memory modules are unstable at CL3. It's rare, but weird.

i dont think u wud have any stability issues. But why wud u want to use 2 sets of different modules?

Nah! it's not me, a friend of mine has got samsung cl3 already installed and all he could find was samsung cl2 and for some reason he wants to stick to samsung......

anyway thanks though

hmmm. So ur friend is running both the RAM (the ones he has now and the ones he plans to buy) at teh same frequency?

personally, i am running my system on 2 sticks of 256MB DDR333 CL2.5 RAM. I am planning to get a single stick of 512MB DDR400 CL2 RAM. I do plan to put in one DDR400 and one DDR333 to see if i get any stability problems. May be then i cud answer ur question more appropriately.

well, i am getting my new memory only next week. its hard to find some high end memory sticks here in India. Even DDR333 is high end here. DDR266 is the norm.

ok, now this is getting interesting. what memory does ur friend have? DDR333/DDR400? what is he planning to get? how much capacity? From where is he sourcing them? I am from Mysore.

If he is in Detroit, he cud get the CL2 RAM and then may be sell his CL3 RAM easily on e-bay. its that easy in the US of A.
