I had the Palit 9600gt Sonic before my current card, and it will run Crysis at 1680, as randomizer says. It's not perfect, but certainly playable. It is at the bottom end of the market though, and will start to struggle sooner rather than later.

hi,
i have core 2 duo e7500 2.93
gigabyte non-integrated motherboard
4gb ddr2 800 ram
500gb sata gaming HDD
19 inch viewsonic lcd monitor
9600gt 1gb

i was wondering at what settings and resolution it would be best for me play crysis warhead with the smoothest gameplay possible and WITHOUT any lag at all
And was AA do exactly?

Play at 1280x1024 (or whatever the max resolution for your monitor is) as anything lower will significantly reduce image quality. Grab a modded Crysis configuration like this one and find the settings that work best for you. I'd say the medium settings would run with no lag, and perhaps the high ones as well, but forget the highest settings.

This will explain AA visually so you can see what it does: http://www.nhancer.com/help/AASamplesLow.htm

You can play Crysis at high settings at 1280 x 1024 but not at Very high as that card is the bare minimum you should use according to the box. The reccomended cards to use would be anything above a GTX250, or to SLI it but since your MB isnt SLI, then I would advise you to play Crysis at high settings at the max with that card as it will take a toll on your GPU and the game will probably stutter at some points when speed is a factor.

It is possible to use cheaper and less gpu intensive cards but then you could only run Crysis at low to medium settings.

I would suggest you either buy a new card higher than a GTX250 in order to play Crysis at V. High and at that resolution, higher than that, even the GTX250 will stutter and propably go at a meager 35+ FPS at V.high.

is the 9800gt 512 better than the 9600gt 1gb for 1440*900? I heard that the 9800gt can handle the high settings with AA on without problem but the 9600gt cant,is it true? I mean the 9800gt has only 512mb of memory

The 9800GT is a superior card in every way. 1GB of RAM won't help a card that doesn't have the horsepower to run the settings you want. Also, 1GB RAM is more useful at 1680x1050 and beyond.
