Until recently the question of performance has not arisen with smartphones,
the limited number of models made the question somewhat irrelevant. With the
number of available devices increasing, device performance is becomes
relevant. SPMark04 from Futuremark Corporation, a company well known for PC
benchmark software, means smartphone performance can now be objectively
measured. But who is it useful to?
