Printing to LPT ports

Hello All,
We have printers captured to lpt ports via login scripts and every
since applying xp sp2, some will not print, just hangs in queue with
status of printing. If we change capture to ip address all works well.
The captures are with Novell and Windows login scripts. This does not
happen to all computers but the majority that capture to Hp 4000 series
or 8000 series printers. We have tried different drivers, cleaning
spyware, reinstalling printers(which sometimes works temporarily) and
numerous other things. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. P.S.
