Duron in an nForce 333Mhz FSB mobo?

Last response: in Motherboards

Hi there all,

A very quick question:
I have one Duron 900Mhz.
I might get one Gigabyte mobo with an nForce2 chipset and a max bus speed of 333Mhz.

From past experience I've found that it's okay to stick lower FSB speed cpus in high FSB speed mobos... but I don't want to fry any AMD cpu I may have lying around :)

So would my poor 'ol Duron 900 work in the 333 mobo?

Answers on the back of an forum post to this, erm, post.

Cheers!

As far as I'm aware, it should work fine, just at 100Mhz FSB... You won't exactly be using the board to the max, but you'll be able to shove a t-bred or Barton core AXP in later.
