I recently built a computer with a 350 power supply and using the asus a7n8x deluxe board. When I run the asus probe it says that my +12v is actually running at 13.44, I only found one thing in my bios I could change and it was the voltage which is set to 1.65, which is also the lowest setting. Is this alright? Or is there a way I can get that 13.44 to be 12?

What brand of your psu? 13.44V is a bit high on +12V rail. Usually a 5% is allowed on each rail, but your reading has exceed this threshold. Get a voltmeter to check the true reading, if the reading is still high, your psu has problem. The 1.65V you see in BIOS is Vcore, which is the voltage of your CPU. DO NOT mess that around, you may burn your CPU. Vcore setting has nothing to do with your increaded +12V rail voltage reading.

If I agree with you... will you shut up?

Yeah TKH is right.

On my comp, MBM5 reads the +12V voltage as 13.31V. Now that was high. But i did check using a Voltmeter and it read 11.19V. now, suddenly, the high became a low voltage. Go figure. LOL.

In case u want to check ur +12V too, check the voltage between the yellow wire(+12V) and the black wire(GND) on ur molex connector.

I hate scottchen.
Scottchen's sig: I could only overclock my Barton 2500+ to 2645mhz. My Radeon 9700pro core/mem speed won't go above 410/720.

The powersupply I have on it is a 350w that came with the case, I have a 550w from my previous pc, should I swap it out and see if it works better? I don't have access to a voltmeter, and I really have no idea what wire you are referring to. Can this damage my pc, or will it be alright short term while I change out the psu? Also would this most definately be an issue with the psu or could it be the mb?

Swapping PSU is no sweat, only takes you 5min, and it's 100% safe if you swap them with power off. I can't imagine someone swapping a psu with power on, that's suitcide :)
Actually swapping the 550W for the 350W psu is a good idea. And yes, it could be your mobo "ASB100" voltage sensor at fault (getting flase reading).

If I agree with you... will you shut up?

Thanks for the input guys, I swapped the psu's last night and now all my voltages are within paramaters. It dropped from 13.44 to 12.8. The warning went off, so I am assuming that all is well. Thanks again!
