nForce2 Ultra advice needed..apply within

I have an Epox 8k9a2 ( KT400) with a 2400xp processor, 512 megs 3200ddr and a Radeon 9800. The system will run 100% stable @ 210 ( 420 ) MHz with the 2400 clocked @ 2310MHz and voltage @ 1.800. I am looking at getting a new Epox nForce2 400 Ultra but not sure if it`s worth ugrading now because of all the 64bit news going around. What are the benifits going to be if I buy this board and are there any problems with an ATI card in a nVidia board ( don`t think there are but there is no such thing as a stupid question...).

Also if I have a normal ata100 hard-drive will it be backward compatible with the new sata`s? I don`t understand it all...do the new mb come out with sata as well as ata?

What I like most about my current mb is how easy it is to unlock the multipliers of the CPU. I just but the 2400 in and in the bios I have an option of what I want to set it to...does the nForce have this option too?

why do you want to upgrade...your board is fine...just because it is not nforce2 that does not mean it sux...i would stay with that unless you have a ligitimate reason for switching...

No it will not be backward compatable...however all mobos still come with an ide controllor and will in the future too as sata has yet to support optical drives...

Yes the nforce has the option of changing multiplyers...

3 386DX-25's...12 volts...glue and some ln2 and a wicked amount of overclocking and you get a willamantee minus 36 pins, 33.75 million transistors and a couple hundred mhz...

U r lucky that ur KT400 goes as high as 210 FSB. My Asus A7V8X is not even stable at 185 FSB. I can run at 190 FSB sometimes but when i restart it doesn't boot at all. I have to go into BIOS and fiddle around to get it working again. It suxx. If i had what u have, i wudn't upgrade for a while.
