After upgrading from Vista to Windows 7 (build 7000 x86) only one one core of my quad-core Q6600 is displaying in the task manager. I tried installing nForce drivers but that didn't help (MSI P6N Diamond). Does anyone know how to fix this?

Have you checked the Task Manager View-CPU History options? Having the One Graph, All CPUs option checked could cause that.

It wasn't that but thanks. I found out I had to change some options in the boot menu in msconfig.
