Hi Guys! I just recently upgraded my motherboard and processor, and I got an AOpen AX4SPE... with the 800 mhz FSB.

Here's the problem... I wanted to use the old drives I had, 2 standard IDE drives. One of them had an OS on it (XP, the other was just a data drive).

The new system has a SATA drive, and I booted up my new system and installed the OS on it.

Here's my problem; I'd like to run the SATA drive as the primary boot drive, then have the two IDE drives in the system as data drives, and then have 2 more IDE CD-Rom drives.

I can't seem to find the magic combination that lets me boot with all of the devices... when I try what I think should work, it always tries to boot off of the old IDE drives, which obviously won't work in the new system.

Any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated...!

What kind of options do you have for boot up device in your BIOS? Mine had to be set as SCSI for boot device to boot my SATA RAID. Maybe its the same story with your board.
