thanx for the link...looks like dfi knows a thing or two about mobos...

The only bad thing is it does not have the mounting holes around the socket :frown:

3 386DX-25's...12 volts...glue some ln2 and a wicked amount of overclocking and you get a willamantee minus 36 pins, 33.75 million transistors and a couple hundred mhz...

But, I think that many good heatsinks that fits on the socket can do the job a cooling an overclocked Barton.

I wish to know how much more OC you can do with a massive heatsink. I'm not sure you get lots of improvement over good a "socket-friendly" heatsinks.

I would like to see the OC numbers for these cooling solutions :
BOXED heatsink
Good heatsink
hole-mounted heatsink
Watercooling
"Antartica" cooling...

This would make a good THG article/review of different solutions!

sure would...possibly in latter revisions they will add the mounting holes just as with many early boards that lacked them...
