many of the mmorpg games require high levels of co-operation between players to progress in the game (e.g. world of warcraft). However you will also be required to engage in warfare from time-to-time. In such games, if you want to keep combat to a minimum, you can play the role of group healer, so you just stand back and keep the players in your group healed (rather than dishing out damage).
Of course though such games require a small monthly payment to play, which does add up over time.
Well thanks anyway David. It seems we are addicted to being violent with each other. I'm not even into patching up the silly buggers if they want to go to war.
if you want a bit of warefare and alot of cooperation (and stealth) then i reccommend the splinter cell series the online coop missions are awsome and require alot of teamwork espcecially on the higher difficulty. splinter cell conviction is coming out soon which probably will have coop but not 100% sure.

I think a better understanding of what sort of content you are looking for would help point you in the right direction. As far as Co-op goes, an MMORPG is just about as Co-op as you get, but naturally with games such as World of Warcraft. War is in the name. You will be fighting beasties or even players.
So obviously you aren't looking for something along the lines of a First-person shooter or a combat-based MMO. Are you into things such as driving/racing games or puzzle or....?
If you like sandbox type games, then you might enjoy something like the Garry's Mod. And if you dared to dive into the world of console gaming, Little Big Planet for the PS3 is very sandbox-y.
Any ideas as to what sort of content you are looking for?
