i have random lag spikes when i play certain games, and sometimes my RAM would shoot up to 95% and not go down even after closing the game. Specifically prince of persia it would lag even on the lowest setting, my spec is AMD 955, ATI 4890, 4gb RAM

Check for malware with Spyware Terminator and look for virus' with AVG free.
