new motherboard?

yo, first time one here and i was wondering if you guys could help me out.

ive got a k7s5a V3.1, with 1GB of pc2100 and a GeForce4 4200. I have ordered a AXP 2600+ should be in in a few days. From what ive read my mb should be the slow link in my system right? but in reality would it make much differnece if i got a new mb? if so what one? or would it be like haveing a 8X AGP card vs a 4X? no performance increase at all... just a way for the company to get some $$$ cuz of a selling features, cuz the GPUs arent powerful enuf to use all the bandwidth. corect me if im wrong on that.

if your mobo is running fine stick with it...there is not much performance increase...at least not enough to notice...

Right on about agp 8x vs 4x...actually at low resolutions on a 4x bus cards are actually a tad faster!

3 386DX-25's...12 volts...glue some ln2 and a wicked amount of overclocking and you get a willamantee minus 36 pins, 33.75 million transistors and a couple hundred mhz...
