IW/Activision have got rid of dedicated servers, mods etc. for MW2. Thousands of people are cancelling their preorders, I would suggest doing the same.

Yeah, I got really upset when I found out about the dedi servers on MW2. I canceled mine just before I put an order out for it when I was browsing to get some info for the game. Screw em. I might download it for its Single Player and if its worth it I will buy it pre-owned from a game store for like 10 bucks in few months, just so I won't kill off my CoD collection. Other then that... Blah.
PS: I installed my CoD2 a few months back, and I noticed somthing. Has anyone ever noticed how some of the missions on CoD2 where the same as on CoD3 for 360?

No mods or dedicated servers have effectively killed the appeal of multiplayer for me. I canceled my pre-order as well. As many have, so they're offering incentives to sell the game. Infinity Ward is really spitting in the face of their PC base. I hope the loss of revenue is significant so they see that they need PC gamers.
And like you Godbrother, I'll probably give the single player a go, I enjoyed MW single player, especially the last mission with the time limit on the airplane. Took me like a million tries and luck to beat it on veteran. It's a shame though, I was looking forward to MW2. I play too much CSS and TF2.
Probably going to pickup Dragon Age Origins for a change of pace.
