because recently something happen to my ps3 and my screen will remain black and ive tried everything to fix it but it still stays black and ive noticed on the back of my ps3 where you connect the video/audio thing its a little messed up so i wanna buy thw HDMI cabel so i dont have to spend alot of money tryna fix it. but i need to know if i still need the video/audio.

nope the hdmi will out put video and audio.

neonmonkey is right for the most part the only time it wnt work is if ur tv only has hdmi resolution or if u have a true surround sound dolby digital system
