I have just installed WIN XP on my new ASUS P4C800-E Deluxe mother board with a 200GB Western Digital Hard Drive.. After the install completed I noticed that the drive is only being shown as 137GB.. Do I need to flash my bios so it will see the full drive or do I need to get a new controller card?

Thanks!

Actually when I go into the BIOS it says that its a 200.0GB disk under the Primary IDE Master Screen... What do I have to do to get the full 200GB to show up under windows?

Thanks!!

XP has a 137GB "Limitation". Read this thread for more info

Also do one of the following (no particular order)

1) create multiple partitions
2) use Partition Magic
3) use Western Digital utility

There is also a patch fot this on MS website, but you'll have to dig for it. Do a search for "48 bit logical addressing" and it should come up. DO you not have SP1 installed?
