I also cant use home or play downloaded games or demos and I cant use life with playstation when I try to play games on the hdd the screen stays black and the same with home and life with playstation whats wrong

The disc problem sounds like your blu-ray drive has gone bad. The other problem is another matter, do you have a psn account? Are you sharing games from another account if so you need the other account on your ps3. I assume you have a working internet connection.
