I have windows vista 64 bit addition and i keep on having compatibility issues with some programs i keep on getting an error that says the version of the file i am running is not compatible and that i should get a 32 or 64 bit system eve though i already have 64 bit, i don't want to get windows 7 yet and im trying to avoid a reboot. Anybody have any thoughts on how to fix this.

Why are you avoiding a reboot?

To be honest, a majority of all Windows related problems are fixed by themselves from simply rebooting.

Are you installing your non-64bit programs to your x86 folder? Be sure to do so when you're using Win Vista 64 as the 32bit emulator will run them in compatibility mode this way!

Rebooting is not something to avoid--although it can be a bit annoying, it is usually necessary.

I think you should try W7. It is really much better then Vista.
