asus p4p800 delux and ata133. Single drive raid?

I have the asus p4p800 deluxe and a maxtor ata 133 drive. The manual says that the primary IDE suports up to ata 100, but the raid supports ata 133.

Can I plug a single hard drive in the primary raid and still use it, or does raid only work with two or more hard drives.

[Crashman]

The single drive will work on the RAID controller, but it won't be RAIDed. RAID requires multiple drives, but your RAID controller doesn't require you to RAID your drives.
