Hi, how do I check if my ASUS A7N8X Deluxe is Rev. 2.0???
There is written a 2.0 on the MOBO but it came in an old package - the FSB400 Sticker isn`t on it...

When I overclock my Athlon 3000 (FSB166) to an 3200 (FSB200x11) it doesnt work correct all the time. Several hangups in benmchmarks etc...

Did I make a Mistake or is anything wrong with the MOBO???

Can anybody help me, PLEASE!!!

Thnx

if there is a 2.0 on the moba then its a fairly good bet you have a rev2.0. remember there are no guarantees with overclocking so dont assume that any given cpu will take any given speed just because you read about someone else doing it. it may just be that your cpu wont take that overclock

As long as you can flash the rev2.0 BIOS on your mobo, it's a rev2.0 board. There is no way you can flash rev2.0 BIOS on non-rev2.0 board.

If I agree with you... will you shut up?

Look between the second and third PCI slot.

You'll see <i>'ASUS A7N8X'</i> silkscreened onto the PCB. Following this in small letters will be the revision number.

The most probable reason why your XP3000+ won't reach 3200+ speeds is because it failed to do that at the manufacturing fab and was therefore downgraded to a 3000+ part. Try increasing the core voltage and you should be fine as long as you're cooling is up to scratch.

For [-peep-] sake, if mobo says 2.0 thats what it is. When Asus found out that the earlier revs didnt support 3200+ they probably made new boards very fast but they used up the old packages before making new ones.
