Do you think this is a stunt or an announcement is on the way sooner than later? What's lead time from announcement to release? Any chance of this by Christmas? Wait, this is Blizzard, they still have to set the date, cancel it, and make the game into 3 and charge me for each one.

Blizzard has already said TBA or in 2010. There is no chance of this shipping by christmas. They have (AND FOR LOVE OF GOD YES I KNOW THERE ARE TWO DIFFERENT TEAMS) Cataclysm to worry about, and besides if it was going to be released by christmas we would have seen ads everywhere since june.

Also I lol'd at Starcraft reference.

Diablo 3 has about as good of a chance of launching by x-mas as I do of winning the powerball this week, and I don't plan on buying any tickets. I do not expect D3 by the first half of 2010, if I were a betting man I would put my money on Q4 2010.

Gamestop loves to put up games for preorder when they have no clue of a release date.
