Hello all

My pc recently died and I'm 99% sure it's the motherboard (an S478 Asus P4T-E) so I'm looking for a replacement but I'm unsure what to get.

I'm thought the easy option would be another P4T-E but can't seem to source one. I'm looking at the Asus P4T533 and P4T533-C but I'm a bit confused (I'm not that bright :). Firstly, what is the difference between them? Secondly, will they support my old RIMMS?

Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

The P4T533-C will work with your old (16-bit) modules, the P4T533 uses a newer (32-bit) kind.

All the major motherboard manufacturers have web sites where you can go look things up on their websites.
You can google reviews too!

Example: <A HREF="http://www.asus.com.tw" target="_new">http://www.asus.com.tw</A>
<A HREF="http://www.asus.com/products/mb/socket478/p4t533/overview.htm" target="_new">P4T533</A>
<A HREF="http://www.asus.com/products/mb/socket478/p4t533-c/overview.htm" target="_new">P4T533-C </A>

<A HREF="http://www.asus.com/products/mb/mbindex.htm" target="_new"> asus mobo index </A>

Hope this helped
