Abit NF7-S: nForce APU (great audio), excellent for overclocking, etc. :)

buy an amd 2500 barton instead, youre wasting your money otherwise... you can overclock as fast as a 3000.

as for the mb, get the asus a7n8x deluxe if you need serial ata, or the abit is fine too

the Abit does have SATA. plus I think his post is inferring that he already has the other parts, and just needs a mobo. If not though, I wholeheartedly agree. anything above the 2500+ is not particularly good value for money.

The end is nigh.. (For this post at least)

I love my ASUS, but both the Abit and MSI are also great boards, from what I've seen & heard. It may come down to a personal preference for you.

Good motherboard but doesn't use the nForce APU - not a big deal if you already have a good sound card.

Asus is probably the most reliable company. Abit used to be considered as reliable, but just about went broke over a problem with voltage regulator caps. I think they are back now, so my next board may well be by Abit. Thing is, most of the nforce boards are great.
