Does sp1 need to be slipstreamed along with sp2 into xp or does sp2 contain all the nec. updates included in sp1?

thanks

I just followed this guide and made my old Windows XP Pro cd-rom into a new Windows XP Pro SP2 cd-rom; it goes pretty smoothly just so long as you read carefully and follow the directions.

Not having the SP1 file in my project kinda' made me worry too; I'm glad if all the updates are included in SP2. I'll know soon enough; I'll be testing this disc with a clean reformat soon.

Let us know. I beleive SP2 has all of the SP1 updates included in it, so SP1 shouldn't be necessary.

sp2 supercedes sp1 and contins all the sp1 updates and all the updates to those updates .. also see my thread on a better way to slipstream it will save a lot of steps and hassles as well as time
