<A HREF="http://www.stealthcomputer.com/littlepc_slots.htm" target="_new">The LPC-501</A> (second unit on this page) has everything you hate in a mini PC:

1.) It has PCI slots. I know you hate PCI slots
2.) It uses a standard ATX power supply. I know how much you LOVE the challenge of making those SFX power supplies work on high end parts.
3.) It takes a standard Micro ATX board, I KNOW you hate having choices as to what board you can use.
4.) It's design is similar to Micro ATX cases I've already pointed you to.

Hehe, so load your weapons, I'm wearing body armor!

The point I've nailed home dozens of times is, there's no good reason to go with a flex-ATX based system when a Micro-ATX system of similar size and increased functionality can be used instead.

Right, it will always be just a bit wider, or taller.

But most of these people fail to realize that a desktop style case can be much shorter than a cube, so that it would fit better in a home theater rack (which has a fixed width, so narrower doesn't help), and that a thin tower would take up less horizontal space than a cube on their desktop. So even though the board is a hair larger, the cube takes up more space because of it's layout. Which gets back to the fact that everyone is buying these things not for practicality, but for popularity.
