front panel connection

I have the P4G8X Deluxe motherboard and I cant seem to find where I'm suppose to connect the front panel USB, firewire, mic and headphone jacks on the motherboard. Right now the USB ports in the front of my computer case arent working. Please advise. Thanks

1. should be in your manual. probably buried in all the pages explaining what all the headers on your mobo are for.

so, basically, RTFM.

The end is nigh.. (For this post at least)
2. Be careful! There are about four types of USB pins,so read your Users Guide`s and find which is on your board. Then you can connect them right.
3. The one that is suppose to fit the front panel USB doesnt seem to. There is only one connection on the mainboard for the front USB ports and it only has three pins. The rest are for the rear. Do I need some type of interface card for this to work or am I just overlooking something?
4. To connect the front usb ports to the mobo you have to use the pins where you have the extra usb header plugged into. It is a 5X2 configuration which only has 9 pins on it and it is located beside the serial ata connectors. Open your manual to 2-25 or click --> and scroll down to page 2-25. The pinouts are described there. Your front usb cables should have 4 pins per port labeled something like ...grd,+5v,usb-,usb+. just connect them to the corresponding pins on the mobo as shown in the diagram. Read "ldm" as usb- and "ldp" as usb+.
5. thanks clutchworks! I thought that was it but I wasnt sure.
