i can't decide which 875P mobo i should get
i have narrow down to

Asus P4C800-E
Gigabyte GA8KNXP
MSI NEO-FISIR
MSI NEO2-FISIR

money is not really the concern cause it's like only a $30-$40 different between 865 and 875. The thing is i have heard bad things about all three of them

Asus P4C800-E- Tom did an article about how ASUS "tried to lower production cost" and took out abunch of stuff and it doesn't come with alot of stuff

Gigabyte GA8KNXP- Gigabyte's got terrible costumer support

MSI NEO-FISIR- see NEO2

MSI NEO2-FISIR- can't OC cause of that auto-overlocking
thing

now i want to have good costumer service ( i live in Canada) cause i tend to break things sometimes^^ and i heard really bad things about Gigabyte's support, i donno about MSI though, i heard ASUS is pretty good. Someone help me decide! I'm going to make my purchase soon and if noone helps i'm gonna get the MSI-NEO FISIR~~~ anyone??

i have been using ASUS since I knew computers, but i donno if their product are good anymore, i mean A7N8X was awesome but i have doubts towards P4C800-E since MSI and gigabyte offers so much more.

You know:A7N8X is somehow a looser, for ASUS first uses NVIDIA`s chipset. But it is quite differen in the INTEL`s field, stability can be given no more by any maunfacture else than ASUS.So choosing ASUS will not be wrong.

Auto Overclocking is great. Choose MSI and you needn't to think about how to overclock your CPU, memory and MB, Auto-OC handles them correctly and makes your PC in the best performance.

Read " tried to lower production cost " as tried to get rid of some stuff they thought was useless to you. That was my take, as the things they changed were things I just dont use.

Sounds like you're planning to overclock. Therefore, I recommend the Asus board from among the boards listed.

ASUS P4C800-E Deluxe
Approx. $200

An excellent board.

Canterwood chipset, but it makes use of ICH5-R onboard SATA Raid controller. Also has a Promise PATA/SATA raid controller. Unfortunately, it doesn't use the intel CSA, but instead has a 3COM Gigabit onboard NIC.

You could get an Abit IS7, it has great performance (according to everybody except Tom's), low price, lots of features (more than the comparable P4P800), overclocks well, and Abit has a nearly perfect RMA exchange policy.

I would go for the asus P4P800-dx. It is like $75cdn cheaper and has almost the identical performance as the p4c800. Check the THG article http://www20.tomshardware.com/motherboard/20030707/index.html
My preference is always for asus/intel

It would appear there is a little confusion about AsusP4C800-E Deluxe MB. It is not the one reviewed by THG but was mentioned as and upcoming entry. It does support CSA Intel chip and many of the other extra's (cables etc.) that the others do. Here is a link to its features.

I am also between the MSI Neo and this board. Tough decision as I have always (apprx 17yrs) been a fan of Asus and Abit. Never owned an MSI board.
Best Luck on the tough decision............. Mr "G"

Funny thing is I am trying to figure out which board too. And have read a couple different places where the finalists are always ASUS, MSI or Gigabyte (875 or 865PE chipsets) Could this be b/c everyone reads the same articles!? Based on the user feedback here it look like the ASUS is the general consensus. But the Gigabyte boards sure *look* cool...
