The other day my GF bought Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. Of coarse since it has Steamworks it installs from the disk through steam. Odd thing is she was playing it just fine last night. Went to bed and woke up the next day and the game was uninstalled from her STEAM games list. Any one ever had this happen before with STEAM? I also ran CHKDSK on the computer to make sure there was no orphaned files. It passed all CHKDSK test and the HDD passed SMART and Seatools test. This is very very odd and I know that she didnt uninstall it either.

Never had that happen before, but I do get crashes to desktop when playing games. Can I ask if you run an anti-virus while running steam and if so which one? I'm sure my avast causes problems even when I 'disable' it. Valve seem to think that people shouldn't have an antivirus on their system, like it's a nuisance or something!
