Hi.
I'm having some trouble getting sound from the onboard sound on my Asus A7N8X-X motherboard. I've checked the connection from the speakers to the line-out plug and nothing's wrong. I also checked the system properties to see if there's some kind of conflict- no problem there. So far, I'm stumped.

Here's my system specs:
----------------------------
AMD Athlon XP 2600+
Asus A7N8X-X motherboard
256MB PC2700 DDR RAM
Western Digital 80GB HD
ATI Radeon 9200
----------------------------

Uh, I think those are all of the relavant system specs, but I'll provide more if it helps.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Check to make sure the sound is not disabled on the board (jumper) or in the bios. Then reload the driver, sometimes everything doesn't get loaded the first time. Make sure the driver has totally completed loading, without getting any errors. Then check for software conflicts with windows media player.

I thought a7n8x-x didn't have nforce apu, therefore no digital output, right?
