Dead A7N8X Deluxe audio jack?

I have recently discovered that the sound from my Asus A7N8X Deluxe is not functioning correctly and warranty / RMA is not an option due to heavy modification to the board.

I also know it is not the speakers, which are Altec Lansing 5.1's, as they were tested on a different system and worked flawlessly.

The problem being that only the sub and left and right surround works... ie outputs sound. The weird thing is that when I do the speaker test, it says all the speaker names through just the rear surround speakers ???

I know the asus a7n8x has some sound issues and some times doesn't work with multichannel systems... but I know for a fact that it has worked perfectly beforehand. Could it possibly be an issue with the soundstorm software not sending it to the correct channels, or is the main speaker jack on the back of my mobo dead?

I have recently performed the SB / NB volt mod as well as various other mods, do you think that this could possibly knock out the main channel sound?

My main question being, is it possible that the main channel jackon my board be dead? Does that ever happen, or do you think it might just be the way soundstorm is configured or?

ANY help or advice here is greatly appreciated!!!
