Can I connect two computers by serial/parallel cable to share files?. One is
windows xp based and the other is windows 95. If so, can someone please tell
me how.

You will need a cross-over cable that can be used to connect either serial
to serial or parallel to parallel. Best Buy, Cicuit city, Radio Shack or
similar should have them. Some cables will come with both serial and
parallel connections.

After they are connected you run the Network Setup Wizard on the XP system.
It will prompt yu for the type of connection. The wizard will also prompt
you to make a floppy so that you can then run the wizard on the 95 system
from the floppy.

Your local bookstore may have PC Magazine's "Guide to Home Networking" ISBN
0-7645-4473-X which will walk you through ever step.
