My magic never works

Hey everyone,
I have Oblivion for the ps3, my R2 and L2 buttons work fine on all my controllers but for some reason now (it used to work) I have cannot use my magic, like nothing happens. I don't understand. Please help me.

Errr check the options and see which key does what? Also, have you satisfied any requirements necessary for your character to wield magic?
