Yesterday I went to hop on my PC and noticed my screen saver was completely frozen. CNTRL+ALT+DEL didnt work so I powered it off and back on again. When it came back up it didn't post, no beeps, and no image on the monitor. I tried clearing the CMOS, reseating the cards, etc. Everything seems to power on fine but the computer just sits idle with all the fans whirling. Any ideas?

If you can try the components separately such dimms, VGA, but it seems to be the MoBo or Memory. It Beeps or just seems everything ok and the monitor never changes the blank screen?
no post beeps at all and the screen stays at the "no input signal detected"

Try pulling out the vid card and see if you get post beeps. Although I had the exact same scenario awile back on a spare pc... it was the processor that was fried.
Over 70% of the time when someone says this, their problem is a grounded board, caused by an extra mounting post in the wrong location shorting the back of the board. And 80% of the remaining time it's caused by the IDE cables being backwards.
You know there's a post right at the top of this forum called "Motherboards FAQ", but you were too lazy to read it, so STFU and quit driving up the price of MY boards by returning YOUR boards.

The first 50 or so times weren't so anoying...what's really anoying is all the other respondants talking about the least likely sources, such as a bad power supply, video card, etc, and not pointing out the most likely things first.
