Yeah i know, i got an e-mail about it today, its a little bit of a bummer since i built my first rig a month ago, and put the i52500k in there for 180, for 20 bucks more if this was going on i could have upgraded, either way though im happy with the i5

No, Intel does not discount the CPU's that much, just because they have new one on market.

If it will reach ~$250, it will be a success : )

This is long gone. I'm surprised to see microcenter offering the 3770K for less than the 2700K now though.

The 2600K is not down to $199 again though.

I wish microcenter would let me buy more than one of each processor. I'd start my own business shipping to areas that don't have a microcenter.
