Can't get a new xp2400 to work with my mobo even after a successful bios upgrade. Also the original Duron 1.1 now doesn't work even though it did after the initial bios upgrade. I can get a Duron 800 to work though?
The xp2400 does work on another mobo so it is ok. Given that with other components the mobo and cpu both work ok then I can assume neither are fried
What could I have missed setting on the mobo to stop the new cpu working. The ram and fsb are correct but could it be the vcore voltage perhaps or something like that.
Everything fires up ok but don't get to the post beep
