Behold the poisonMancer armor. It won't be good for a boner cos the lvl 10
armor is either useless or overrides, and firing a lvl 10 spear will stop
them from firing a lvl 20+ spear. Summoners will find the huge mana boost a
waste. Much cheaper than Bramble.

non-FI monster in Hell. Not sure a sorc would use this over Viper, what with
only 1 resistance and no FCR, but a kooky build that needs regen might look
at it instead of an Insight merc...

resist is incredible.

Best of the lot, IMHO. Huge IAS and Fade built-in would help most melee
builds, but substitute an Um for the Lem and it's better for a Kicksin.

But couldn't your throwbarb just cast those things himself, and then
wear a
Lionhart, Duress, etc, instead?

Of course. But I never do, see? I didn't say I'm rushing out to make
one, just that's the only use I could see for it :)

These Warcries reminded me of something. Warcry Barb vs Nilly! We
should test this with your Warcry guy sometime.

Well, 15% chance to chast lvl 10 spear on striking. How many boners do you
know that sit there and hit things? The armor would override though, which
is bad. Plus, Vipermagi gives FCR which a lot of boners want, so it would
still be a preferable choice for a lot of people(especially since there's a
lot of other, generally considered better things that require Ums)

Yeah, not a big help for summoners either.

Call the enemy to you, then make them run away? What the hell? Damage of 14,
yay, +30 def vs missles, whee, -requirements...on a barb? Wow. Total waste.

I suppose it's okay for a mid-level assassin pre-Bartucs. Some ED, some
elemental, some AR, plus resists and block.

CS and FHR are nice, can't complain much about cold resist, and I guess
having a valk and slow missle could be kinda cool, but then again, I'd still
rather have a Duress generally. Better FHR, better cold resist, resistance
to other elements as well, higher def, and 15% CB and 33% OW instead of 25%
CS. Guess this would be the armor to use until you could use a Duress.

Definitely a secondary claw for a WW or venom sin.

No thanks, I'll stick with Duress or Lionheart. Especially since this armor
requires a Gul.

I dunno, windy druids usually have decent level cyclone armor so that could
possibly overwrite, they don't strike things typically so no big benefit
there, 1 resistance which can be bettered with Viper, and a big mana boost.
But then, windys also like FCR, so the lack of that could hurt.

Subsistuting an Um for the Lem would add an extra 15 resists. With Fade and
the right gear, that's not really that big a benefit for a kicker I don't
think(then again, neither is the Venom, as most kickers will have it higher
than level 15). But the IAS and FHR and Fade are nice.

Beautiful mods, good for non-assassins, and relatively cheap runes. The
winner, indeed. Right up there with Insight on the "bang for your buck"
scale.

Level 15 Fade is 60% resist all and 15% PDR.

So overall, some superb new words in the batch, and some that are going to get
heavily modded. :)

Yes, the Valk triggers, but the game crashes (Bnet and singleplayer). I
commit that I'm a bit upset about this bug. I mean, it's so obvious that
the best use of this runeword is to give it a merc ...

What about the build I had once in mind, around a Carrion Wind? It has
an 8% chance to cast lvl 13 Twister on Striking, does that add to the
5% from the armor, ie result in a 13% chance of casting *any* twister?
This might be the base of a windy weredruid with high Tornado for
synergies.

Did you mean Find Item on the corpses, to dispose of them before he starts
blowing them up? I haven't really bothered running Nih in 1.10, so I don't
even know if this works. Has any tried it?

I expect the code to make things look ethereal is the same for
everything as it's a purely graphical thingy. Same code as for
ethereal items would be used on assassins under fade and so on and so
forth.

Until they fix the valk problem with the zon armor, this seems to be the
best merc armor as well. It seems they did forsee this at some time since
when I tested it today, my barb merc did sport an ethereal look while
tanking listers minions. Why would they include the code for ethereal mercs
unless they forsaw this situation?

Sounds like a sound theory, since there are also monsters in the game that
appear with an "ethereal" look.
