I can't get my TV signal to play in media center in 16:9 format. I can get the media center set-up for my 16:9 flat panel but when it plays live TV using my asus TV tuner it shrinks it to 4:3. I know the channel I'm on is 16:9 format because it works fine on my TV if I go straight through the TV. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this??
i'm using ati 4870, eizo s2431w, windows 7 64 bit rtm ultimate...and my screen resolution is 1900x1200, thanks

I have the same issue but have not found a fix, and as I don't get the issue when using my TV cards own software to watch the same channel I'm of the opinion that it must be an WMC + signal issue.

If your using your TV with a screen resolution of 1920x1200 it wont work, thats a 16x10 setting, it has to be 1920x1080 for 16x9. What graphics card are you using, what type of cable from the PC to the TV?

I had a similar problem with Vista WMC and added /widescreen to the command line so it now reads

%SystemRoot%\ehome\ehshell.exe /widescreen

perhaps worth a try with windows7 ?
