not sure the title name is accurate but whatever.

anyway, I received it like 3 weeks ago, but I just now found out that the USB bracket doesn't work fully. 1 of the 2 ports works, the other does not. I tried multiple devices and triple checked my connections.

Is there any chance I can get a replacement part from biostar?

Is it a one piece bracket? Did it come directly from them?

Biostar used to use brackets that were wired like this:

12345
54321

Instead of the standard

12345
12345

If the bracket didn't come from them, you may need to rewire it. If the bracket uses two sets of 5 pins instead of a double row 10 pin connector, you might need to flip one of the connectors. Check your manual for the correct pin arrangement, then check the connectors to see if they're wired that way.

The USB bracket is 1 piece that came with the motherboard. I have it installed in the bottom case slot, right under the 5 pci slots.

The pins come completely seperated into 10 smaller ones that need to be plugged in individually. Real pain in the ass.

But the connections are fine. 100% positive its a partially broken bracket. I emailed Biostar and they don't replace the product for free, instead, they told me to RMA. Now, I really don't wan't to RMA the board, get a new bracket, install it, reinstall OS, and be without my computer for so long. Is there anyplace I can get a cheap USB bracket (~$5-10) that does NOT take up a PCI slot?

My mobo also comes with such a bracket. However, one of these USB ports can be sacrificed for an optional Blueteeth device and is therefore disabled by default. I didn't take the Blueteeth option so I enabled the USB port. Maybe that's your problem too...
