2.4GHz on a PT800 board?

Hi, I just have a quick question regarding compatibility.
Will my Celeron 2.4GHz (PC400 128kb cache) work on the Asus P4V800-X board with the PT800 chipset? Asus informs that the board supports "3.2GHz and above" but what is the backward compatibility?

I dont know crash,sounds like a perfect marriage to me. Why waste a good board on a celeron?
