Walter;
That largely depends on how Windows XP was installed.
If Windows XP wan an upgrade, go to Add/Remove Programs in the Control
Panel.
Double click on windows XP and follow the prompts to uninstall and return to
the previous operating system.
Otherwise check a newsgroup of a newsgroup specific to the operating system
you desire installed:

How did you get that info,not very many consumer computers will fit that
statistic.Either way,go to add/remove programs,locate the uninstall xp icon (
probably at bottom of page).

The normal way to "uninstall" any operating system is to format
the hard drive and install a new OS of your choice.
Only if you performed an upgrade from Win98/Me, elected to backup
the old system files, and didn't convert the partition to NTFS, can
you then boot into Safe Mode and click Start > Control Panel
> Add/Remove Programs. All of these conditions must be met for the
uninstall option to be available.
