My Dell computer (WinXP Pro/SP2) sometimes does not respond to Autorun.
When I place a program CD in cd-drive, it does not open the setup windows.
So I must find the setup.exe in C-drive (i.e., CD) to install the program.
When I checked the CD, I see three autorun related files (Autorun.inf,
autorun.ico and autorun.exe).
Please advise me how or what to tweak for this problem. TIA. Narusato

If these are older CDs the autorun.exe may not be compatible with XP's
autoplay. You're already doing the recommended workaround for these
instances: running setup.exe manually.

Hi,

Might help to run a CD lens cleaner disk. The buildup on the lens may be
preventing proper function.
